Neon Meltdown Privacy Policy
The short version
Neon Meltdown collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no servers of ours to send anything to. Your saves, settings, and local scores stay on your own device. Steam handles your purchase and its own features under its own privacy policy.
Who we are
Living Skies Interactive ("we", "us") is an independent software studio operating as a sole proprietorship in Canada, and the maker of Neon Meltdown.
What this policy covers: the game Neon Meltdown. Our website and its support forms are covered by our website privacy policy, and each of our other games by its own.
What the game collects
Nothing. Neon Meltdown is built with Godot and does not send us any data at all: there are no player accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising, and we operate no servers for it to talk to. Your saved games, settings, and local score table live on your own device, and uninstalling the game or deleting its save folder removes them.
What Steam does
Neon Meltdown is sold through Steam, and Steam is its own data controller. When you buy or play the game, Steam processes your information under its own policy. That covers the purchase itself and any Steam feature the game uses, such as your display name, achievements, cloud saves, global leaderboards, or recorded playtime.
What we see from Steam is the aggregated sales, wishlist, and refund reporting every developer gets, plus anything Steam shows publicly, such as a global leaderboard. None of it lets us look you up.
What we don't do
- No sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as the California CCPA/CPRA defines those terms.
- No tracking. No advertising or analytics SDKs, no fingerprinting, and no automated decision-making or profiling.
Contacting us about the game
If you send us a question or bug report through the support form, what you send is covered by our website privacy policy, which says how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. For Neon Meltdown the answer is none: the game sends us nothing. Requests about your Steam account or its data go to Steam, which holds it.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you're entitled to complain to your data protection authority — in Canada the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, in the UK the ICO, or your national authority in the EEA. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Children
Neon Meltdown is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The game collects nothing from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If an update ever changes what the game does with your data, such as adding online play, we'll update this page before that update ships and move the "last updated" date. If the change is significant we'll say so in the game's Steam news rather than expecting you to notice.
